Core Lawn Aeration

The plugs all over everybody’s lawns aren’t for show. They are the result of a key element in the success of a healthy lawn all year long.

Here’s how it works:

1- After the winter your lawn has been compacted and compressed by the snow and of course there is a lot of dead grass underneath.

2- At this time, it is difficult for your compacted grass to absorb rainwater as it runs off onto the street.

3- Core lawn aeration effectively turns your lawn into a sponge by removing three inch plugs spaced out evenly across the whole surface of your grass. Your lawn is then able to breath and absorb water.

Also, each plug contains key nutrients that were leached below grass roots in the winter and these nutrients are then recycled throughout the lawn, providing a free and natural fertilizer. The holes fill in after ten to twelve days. The best time to seed your lawn is right after core aeration.
